SC & ST Development

Govt. have established educational institutions like Sevashram, Ashram School and High Schools for boys and Girls for educational Development of SC & ST people,.There are 4 nos. of High School (3 nos for boys and 1 no,for girls) 5 nos of Ashram Schools, 3 nos of residential and 2 nos of non-residential schools functioning in the District.31 ST Girls’ hostels are functioning in the 4 High Schools,5 Ashram Schools,18 Sevashrams and 4 in School & Mass Education Department Schools.

The Circle Inspector of School T.R.W. (N.R.) is the sole supervising authority in the education sector followed by D.I. & S.I.,The District Welfare Officer, however is accountable for all purposes starting from education,result, distribution of scholarship.Supervision etc.

The SC & ST boys and girls students reading in M.E. Schools, High Schools and Colleges in the educational and Welfare Deptt. are getting scholarship.The students of High School level get pre-matric Scholarship and students in College level get post matric Scholarship . Distribution of N.T. books

The N.T. book are being distributed the SC & ST students reading in both primary Schools of education and Welfare department, and from the year 2007-2008 educational session, D.P.E.P. is distributing all varities of text book in all primary Level School (both education and Welfare). During the year 2007-08, 2080 no of N.T. books have been received by the DWO and distributed to students of High Schools.

Implementation of O.R.V. Act.

Orissa reservation of vacancy in the post and service SC & ST amendment rule 1994 came in to force with effect from 21.4.1994 Model Roster of 80 points including reservation of women also came into force on the said date.The 80 points roster of reservation for each category of candidates are as follows:-

District Welfare Officer,Bargarh is declared as District Manager,OSFDC with effect from November 1998 under OSFDC Scheme.

No high cost loankl has given for the year 2007-2008 & 2008-09 to till now
